The Dutch West India flag consisted of the red, white, and blue flag of the Netherlands with the letters G.W.C. (Geoctroyeerde Westindische Compagnie) added to the central stripe. Originally orange, between 1630 and 1660, the top stripe was changed to the same red as the Dutch flag. |
